the digital orange photo blog I like to think of myself as a tuxedo t-shirt because I want to be formal, but really I'm here to party.

I'm Mike Cunningham and this is my photo blog.

Several months ago, I was contacted by some fellow church goer's up North, asking if the Pierside ward would be willing to play their team in a little game of flag football.  We obliged.  And boy am I glad we did.

"Second place is NOT an option."  Those were my explicit directions.

Neither team failed my expectations.  The ladies performed in perfect fashion and brought home the glory.  The men's team also pulled out the awesome stick and gave Pierside its second W of the day.

Last Sunday marked the initial croquet match of the season here at the Villa [mi casa].  I'm looking forward to many more this summer.

HB_0066.jpgThe artist formerly known as "Chili Davis."  Now can be seen hustling passer-bys at croquet.

HB_0071.jpgAnne was representing strong from the [Bench].

HB_0095 copy.jpgHop on this Bermuda Triangle Tandem beach cruiser and get lost.  She's a beauty.

Today marks a very special day.  It is the day you became the first grandchild of the Cunningham family.  It is the day you became my first Nephew.  It is also the day I first became an Uncle.  It is the 27th of April - your birthday.

You are a special mini-man [ham].  You make me laugh.  You make me smile.  You give me greater purpose and a reason to strive to be better.  You are a blessing to us all.  I love you to pieces.

Love,

Uncle Mike

I love this city.  It's enchanting.  It's diverse.  It's fun.  It's a place I shall visit once again.

Me and a few friends hopped on a plan Friday night for 72 hours of non-stop San Francisco.  We laughed almost the entire time.  Great trip.

Waiting for our flight to leave at Long Beach Airport.

We finally arrived.  And just as an FYI.....we quickly learned this was not the Golden Gate Bridge.

SanFran2009_25.jpgGearing up for our ride across the bridge....

SanFran2009_51.jpgParty shot on the bridge.  FYI....there is one side of the bridge specifically for bikes.  Do not travel on the other side or your tires will go flat and you will be stranded.

Large steel structures with massive rivets are cool.  Check out the font on the sign too....it's pretty rad typeface, dontcha think?

SanFran2009_79.jpgMe and Ash enjoy a cupcake from Kira's Cupcakes.  Are they better than Sprinkles?  Yes, indeed.

SanFran2009_82.jpgThe tour guide.....

SanFran2009_84.jpgI am mildly obsessed with Graffiti.  Not the stupid stuff you see on the freeway overpass or some liquor store sign....but the legit graffiti.  We walked around the city and passed two local artists "decorating" some wood panels.  They were commissioned to do so by the store owner.

I always have been, and always will be impressed with the artwork these individuals pull of with just a paint can.

We finished the trip with dinner at The Stinking Rose.  They put us out in the back on a secluded patio.  The ambiance was incredible; however, I didn't care much for the food.  I can still smell the garlic....

That's all for tonight.  Stay classy Planet Internet.

Adrienne kind of looks like a really pretty homeless person wrapped in all that fabric.

Here are a few more I snapped the other night while at the local In-N-Out in Huntington Beach.  In attendance were several big names in pop culture - mainly "Mini-Montana."

Happy Saturday.  I'm shooting a wedding today at the San Diego LDS temple.  If you see me, introduce yourself with: "Hi, my name is ___________ and I like to party."
